Good questions
How much notice do you need?
At least 1 week’s notice for ready-designed cakes, 2 weeks’ notice for bespoke cakes and 8 weeks’ notice for wedding cakes.
Can I order with less notice?
Sometimes! Get in touch before ordering and I’ll let you know if I can fit you in.

Do you deliver?
Ready-designed cakes, cupcakes and bespoke celebration cakes are collection only, by prearranged appointment in Hemel Hempstead, usually before 11am on your collection date. Delivery and setup is available for wedding cakes only.
Do you deliver wedding cakes?
Yes. Delivery and setup is strongly recommended for wedding cakes and required for cakes with 3 or more tiers. Smaller wedding cakes may still be collected from Hemel Hempstead if agreed. Delivery and setup is quoted as part of your wedding package.
Wedding cakesHow do I pay?
Ready-designed cakes are paid in full when you order online. For bespoke cakes, I’ll send you a quote. Your date is secured with a 50% non-refundable booking fee, and the rest is due 2 days before collection. For wedding cakes, your date is secured with a 25% non-refundable deposit, and the rest is due 2 weeks before the wedding.
What’s the difference between ready-designed and bespoke?
Ready-designed cakes are set designs you personalise and order online with a fixed price. Bespoke cakes are designed around your own idea, so I quote for each one.
Bespoke cakesHow many people will my cake serve?
4" short serves 2–4, 4" tall 6–8, 6" short 10–12, 6" tall 14–18, 8" short 20–24 and 8" tall 28–36.
How long can my message be?
Up to 30 characters for a simple message on top.
Is there a minimum order for cupcakes?
Yes, cupcakes are ordered by the dozen with a minimum of 12.
Can you make allergy-free cakes?
My kitchen handles eggs, milk, gluten, nuts and soya, so I can’t guarantee any cake is free from traces. Please tell me about allergies before ordering.
Allergen informationHow should I transport and store my cake?
Keep it flat and secure in a cool car, ideally in the boot or footwell. If it needs to be refrigerated, take it out about 2–3 hours before serving.
Can I cancel or change my order?
It depends on the type of cake and how close to collection it is. The full details are in my terms.
